The start of a good week!

Yesterday morning we went to Jorge’s church which is in Tegucigalpa. His church is called “Amor y Vida”, which means love and life. The service was all in Spanish but thankfully I had a translator (Ashley) sitting next to me to let me know what was going on. During the service Jorge had the team from Calvary Christian Church come up and introduce themselves, then he introduced us and had us share a short testimony. We really enjoyed Jorge’s church and we love how much they care about sharing God’s love with others.

During the service someone sang “Thank you for giving to the Lord”, which was a song by Ray Boltz that I can remember my Dad LOVING when I was growing up. I’ve attached the video for your viewing pleasure. The lyrics are beautiful and touching. Here’s a link to the english version as well.

During church the leader from the work team got really sick and eventually had to be sent to the hospital. He seems to be doing better now, but please pray for Mark that he will recover fully.

After church we went to Pizza Hut which was a TON of fun! It was the biggest and nicest one I’ve ever seen. All of the kids from the transition house came (the younger kids) along with a couple of others. Duncan came along with us and he is just the most adorable thing… he looks like a monkey! hahah! If you haven’t heard his testimony you should absolutely check it out! Basically he was found in a shoebox in a dumpster when he was only a couple of days old. He was being taken care of by two teenagers who were strung out on glue.

After lunch we came back to Manuelito and will be here for a week. We had a blast last night with the kids, they are so fun! At one point every single one of them were chanting “Bessito! Bessito! Bessito!” which means kiss! kiss! kiss! They wouldn’t stop until Ashley and I kissed… haha, so weird… We had some really good conversations with them. They kept wanting to see our pictures from back home, especially the ones of ours and other’s weddings. Melissa they LOVED your dress and the flowers at your wedding.

Today we’ll be working on the computers and printing out some forms for the work teams. If you have any questions please ask in the comments! Love you guys!
