Sponsorship!!

We have been itching to do this ever since we first decided to join Project Manuelito over 2 years ago! One way to raise awareness and get more people excited about the project and for the children is to make donation cards with the kids pictures on them which also tells a little of their stories. To start off we decided to do it with Ashley’s parent’s church, and one of our supporting churches, Harpeth Presbyterian, as they were excited to get involved and Ashley’s parents were coming down to visit us soon. We started off by just doing it all through the church (instead of through WGM, which we plan on doing in the future) and were praying we would raise around 800$ for the 8 children at the transition house. They desperately need money for clothes, shoes and toiletries and 800$ had the potential to really help.

Well the outcome went WAY better then we had expected!!! ☺ Praise God we raised over $1,800!!! This was so much that we got to provide some very important needs at the transition house. We bought clothes, toiletries, fans (they had none and goodness was it HOTTT!!), cleaning supplies, and fixed the house so that they FINALLLLLLY have RUNNING WATER!!!! Praise the Lord!! Some of these kids have been living in the house for 7 months without running water. Well no more!! The coolest things is we still have some money leftover that may go to shoes, or some other necessity that God reveals. I’m working on a video now for the church with everything and will be excited to post it once it’s done!

We are so excited at the success of this program and can’t wait to expand it to the whole project out in Talanga. If you would be interested in having this at your church please let us know! Scattered throughout this post are the cards we made for the children, and we’re excited to get the Talanga ones done real soon!

So good to see and hear what you two have done for the kids at the transition house. Are you through with Language school yet? Thanks for your love and the help you are giving these kids.

It was great meeting these kids last week. Praying you get to move into your new home soon, and the missionary/medical clinic is completed quickly. It sure would help Mauricio and Helga Ruth tremendously.
