Progress!

Well, we’re seeing some progress now and it’s both very encouraging and a little scary! We currently have 12 people who have committed to supporting us financially each month, and this puts us at 18% of what we’ll need to get to Honduras. We’re getting closer to that 30% mark everyday! To those who haven’t been following 30% is the mark we’re aiming for so that we can quit our jobs and start being missionaries full time. This is important since it is very difficult to take on all the responsibilities of raising support and training for the field while working 40+ hours a week! God has blessed us immensely in just the few months we have been raising support and we are so thankful.

In the coming months we will have some exciting opportunities. In June we’re scheduled to attend an orientation week at WGM headquarters in Indiana. In July we’ll most likely be heading to Portland, Oregon from the 4th – 11th and Vancouver, Washington the 18th – 25th for camps. If you’re unfamiliar with camps (we sure were!) they are basically revivals where church goers take a week off of work to go to! We’ll get an opportunity to speak at both camps. On top of all these we have a couple of churches that we’re in talks with to come and speak and many individuals we’d like to call and visit.

As you can see it is going to be a busy year for us. Please pray that the funds will come in when they need to and for strength and wisdom during speaking engagements. We can’t wait to get the ball rolling and especially to finally be in Honduras serving God and these children.
