Off to Minnesota!

Wow have we been busy! We were both feeling that God was calling me to leave my job, and the people who were going to take over needed to move in soon, so we moved out on August 13th. Wow was that the right decision! Things have really picked up!
That first weekend we were in Franklin, TN staying with Ashley’s parents when we had an impromptu meeting with a church that she used to attend mission trips with every summer. They have said that they want to support us a significant amount if they are able to! It was SO exciting and exactly the kind of boost we needed. We go back in September to talk to the church and find out more what our partnership will involve.
Then we got a facebook message from a friend of Ashley’s. She was at her church in Hopkinsville, KY which she only visits once in a blue moon. They were discussing having a young adult Sunday and asked if anyone knew of anyone that could come and speak. Guess who she thought of!? So the weekend after our visit we went to Franklin we headed to Hopkinsville and spoke during the service at Lester Memorial Presbyterian Church. It was such a great experience! The congregation was small but had big hearts. They were very welcoming and want to continue a conversation about possibly partnering with us in the future! So exciting!!!
Right now we are packing up and getting ready to head to Minnesota. A church there has paid for 3 of the kids and 3 adults form the project to come to the states. We are so so SOOOO excited to spend a week with the kids and to get to meet the churches up there who have a passion for the project. It should be an exciting week. Please pray that big things happen in Minnesota. I’ll try to remember to take pictures and post a few updates of how the week is going. I’d like to ask to be held accountable for updating the blog. I really do enjoy doing it, it’s just we get so caught up in things that updating tends to escape us. Thanks Melissa for encouraging me to post another one.
When we come back we will be going to a church in Indiana that has a long history with Manuelito. They have also said they want to partner with us! So as you can see things have really been moving. It is so awesome to see God at work in this ministry and to know that we are getting closer to getting on the field. We cannot wait (really, you have no idea how hard it is!! haha) to get on the field and start making a difference in these kids lives. To love them, build relationships with them, and help grow them in their desire to serve our God. Please continue to pray for them and for us.
God bless!
Justin
